For Preslie, a disenchanted virtual reality tester, it’s just another day on the job, until a psychopath takes control of her experience and sends her on a twisted journey. Preslie wants nothing more than to experience a real thrill, but Laurie, a virtual reality designer, fails to deliver a truly terrifying horror episode. However, Michael, a deadly intruder, dispatches with Laurie and intends to grant Preslie’s desire, though on his own terms. Preslie does indeed get the thrill she thought she wanted, but it exposes fears she thought were deeply buried, and forces her to face the fact that she is not invincible.
